Michele grew up in Calgary and all but one holiday/long weekend was spent on her dad's childhood farm outside of Yorkton, Saskatchewan - homesteaded in 1899.
Chris grew up in St. Hubert, south shore of Montreal, taking few excursions at all.
Life drew them to Toronto, where they met and built their life together, adding their little boy Dexter along the way.
Deciding it was time for a change and with the family farm in need of a next-generation decision about it's future, they decided to head west and give it a year to sort things out.
And here we go...
Mom and Dad left for a little anniversary get-away (49 years...holla!) and in his stead, Peter is in charge of flood management with dictatorial powers.
Interestingly, the guy who appointed Dad left town too and his vice-guy has no idea all this has been decided.
And there's poor Peter out there revving the bulldozer.... :)
